Develop a Cloud Migration Strategy and Business Case

This learning path is part of the Migrate, Modernize and Build (Infra) Priority Play. It is designed to equip partners with both the technical expertise and the strategic leadership skills required for a successful migration to Google Cloud. This path focuses on the assessment phase of the Google Cloud migration methodology, providing technical skills for evaluating environments and establishing a solid foundation for migration and modernization. Learners use the Cloud Adoption Framework to assess organizational and technical readiness, then apply the Rapid Migration Program (RaMP) toolkit to organize and determine the appropriate entry path for customer migrations. The course emphasizes practical use of Migration Center, including asset discovery, server assessments, environment analysis, and cloud cost estimation. By connecting assessment outputs to migration decision-making, the course covers migration types (move, change, replace), application discovery and analysis, and how assessment data feeds into the broader Google Cloud migration methodology (assess, plan, migrate, optimize), enabling learners to produce a clear, evidence-based migration assessment aligned with Google Cloud best practices.
