Implement a Landing Zone and Observability

This learning path is part of the Migrate, Modernize and Build (Infra) Priority Play. Establishing a robust and scalable cloud foundation is critical for long term enterprise success. This learning path empowers you to architect and deploy a secure Google Cloud landing zone using Infrastructure as Code modules. You will learn to automate the creation of essential resources, including projects, networks, and IAM roles, ensuring that security controls are baked into your environment from the very beginning.

Governance and observability are at the core of this learning path. You will define baseline operational guardrails by configuring quotas, IAM constraints, and log retention standards, alongside automated alerts to instantly detect violations or misconfigurations. To maintain high reliability, you will create custom dashboards and alerting policies using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging. Finally, you will learn to instrument your applications and VMs with Cloud Ops agents and OpenTelemetry exporters, enabling you to capture and analyze critical CPU, memory, disk, and network telemetry data.
