This lab seems to have very specific checks in place. I created a new repo named devops-repo-2 because the first run through of this lab failed on the VM instance check, but I continued on and successfully finished the rest of the lab. I came back and created another repo, but all checks except for the build trigger step succeeded. I changed the build trigger to instead point to the old repo and now it worked even without automatically triggering a build... It would be good to know what checks are actually being performed as in my case it was a simple rename, but it was a lot of editing, deleting, recreating and unnecessary busywork testing different things to figure our what the problem was. This is very painful and makes an otherwise super simple and easy lab very annoyingly difficult

cloud build would not connect to my repository even though I am logged in and it saw the repo. Just said internal error. . had to give up.
