Partitioned Tables in Google BigQuery Reviews

For the second exercise, they should have demonstrated how the partitioned data used less processing power to query by date. AND, I am not sure why querying across all those partitions (to determine expiration time) doesn't take a lot of processing power - it has to query across every partition. It'd be good to explain that.
