Decent overview of spark on gcloud. I think the mixing of work done on the console vs the notebook could be made more consistent in the switch from hdfs to gcs, just to make it clearer that what is changing is the source and not let the change in setup/commands get in the way of that.

Very interesting. I am new to spark and Hadoop and I feel like I learned something. It was so far one of the most complicated labs in terms of number of steps. Everything worked out fine.

dataproc couldnt create the cluster with the config outlined in the lab. There was an "error" in the status but i could not see what the error was. bad times
