The lab should clearly explain that VM instances must be created on the newly created VPC network. As a beginner, I had to repeat the lab multiple times before realizing my VMs were still using the default network, which caused the grading checks to fail. A clearer warning or step-by-step verification would make the lab much easier to complete.
