I would run the job in DataFlow as part of this and the python lab. Also why does the Java have to be installed by the user, when Python is preinstalled? You could provide a VM Instance that has already run the Maven compile, so that each user doesn't need to download all the dependencies, and lower the cost of your lab usage.
