many of the commands like gcloud iam roles update app_viewer --project \ $DEVSHELL_PROJECT_ID --stage DISABLED don't work if the user types it in (instead of copy/paste from the box). Unsure why, but frustrating if the user is wanting to type the commands to get experience and familiarity. seems like it has something to do with the "\" character
