there was error below below command: ./helm install -n cd stable/jenkins -f jenkins/values.yaml --version 1.7.3 --wait Error: release cd failed: namespaces "default" is forbidden: User "system:serviceaccount:kube-system:tiller" cannot get resource "namespaces" in API group "" in the namespace "default" I had to run an additional command as below to fix this. kubectl create clusterrolebinding tiller-cluster-rule --clusterrole=cluster-admin --serviceaccount=kube-system:tiller
