pinging global network did not work. all packets were lost. This resolved itself on a 2nd run through the lab.

Copying and pasting all the commands in to shell doesn't help much to reinforce the concepts and procedures, though I understand this is likely necessary for a lab of this scope to keep it within reasonable time constraints. It might be better if this lab was broken into multiples.
