Despite strictly following the instructions the VPN connection was not HA. After deleting the first VPN tunnel the pings had 100% packet loss

Pretty thorough in terms of the full process for creating a HA VPN setup via gcloud cli, but I do wish they also showed what the similar process would look like thru the GC console.

Cloud Shell is great but this is a complex scenario if you don't have networking experience and it would be better to have both options: console (slowly but clearer) and shell (faster but muddy?)
