there are some mistakes in the instructions and code, for example, one of the outputs is supposed to be the IP of the VM instance however the code outputs the instance ID instead of the IP. the same with the variables, the description for the instance type is wrong, as it describes it as the disk type for the instance

Issues with signing in to the account meant errors on apply commands. Resolved after multiple attempts to reset connection in cloud shell and re-auth.
