could not delete the default VPC network for some time as I could not find the delete button according to the instruction (thought that was supposed to appear once I select it in the pane)

I was having trouble SSHing into my VM instances after creating VPC network. Had to manually enable all 4 firewall rules even though I enabled them upon creation of the VPC network. I'm not sure why this was the case.
