I wasn't able to complete the last step (the validation failed) even though all the steps were done correctly - the minecraft server did start at boot (verified with ps that the process was running, with netstat that the port was open and finally with this site: https://mcsrvstat.us/server/34.66.188.83 that the server was actually running - the site reported 0/20 players and server version 1.11.2)

1. the steps are misleading. numbering is incorrect, see "Create External IP" section. Numbering starts from "1" and is confusing 2. In section2: prepare the data disk, I'm unable to run commands. will try again.
