I did again, and the score is still 10/30. Very stupid system!!!!!!!!! Do I need to re-do the lab 3rd time ???????

I did everything, and got the expected the result. The score stayed at 10/30. I found this to be very frequent in this course. I do not mind re-doing it. But this course should not behave this way.

A Minecraft server, I love it! The first time I got really screwed up somehow and needed to start the lab over again, but the second time all went smoothly.

A few problems with this lab: 1) The lab doesn't keep score correctly. I have to click the score and say "Run step". 2) The backup.sh script shouldn't use YOUR_BUCKET_NAME variable unless it is set in the script 3) The startup-script installs the crontab on each boot: $ sudo crontab -l ... # m h dom mon dow command 0 */4 * * * /home/minecraft/backup.sh 0 */4 * * * /home/minecraft/backup.sh This line can be removed from the startup-script: (crontab -l ; echo "0 */4 * * * /home/minecraft/backup.sh")| crontab - And then the description of what the startup-script does should be updated to remove crontab. Either that or update the startup-script to grep to see if the line is already set before adding it.

lab continues to be horrible. I completed yesterday, but it wasn't graded correctly, even though the lab was 100%. today, I am faced with a 403 permission problem when creating the cloud storage bucket that prevented me from completion of the lab.

There were 2 glitches I found: 1) If you click on the link to check the Minecraft site, it takes over the tab and your lab page comes back looking as if you have to start over (you have to click on the Start button and it then puts you back in where you were, but it shouldn't be that way) 2) When entering the name of the storage that was used, there was ambiguity about the command. It turns out that the '$' in the name of the storage area syntax is not required. Including it will make it seem as if there is already an area with that name, and until you get rid of the '$' it will continue telling you that the name is already used.
