the app could not update my progress

I am dyslexic and have a hard time following written steps. The check my progress button was confusing. I was looking for it in the exercise console. I am also struggling with why anyone would want to use the app in this exercise. I am a Google admin and hoping this course gets me to the point I can build more elaborate apps.
