I could not finish the lab first time round as the bastion server did not work. This happened when I had 13 minutes left. I managed to finish the lab the second time as I changed the firewall settings back to allow any IP address after creating the bastion server and taking away the external IP address of the webserver. The change of the firewall rule back to allow any IP address was not in the lab instructions.
