Completed all the steps, but the progress tracker does not acknowledge that the first step is complete. It verifies completion of all the remaining steps. Does not make sense since the remaining steps cannot be done unless the first step is completed.

Alright this one was a little tricky. You guys explicitly put in the directions to create a notebook instance with an "Apache Beam" environment. I made that instance 10+ times and the autograder denied me every time. I looked at the picture you guys put up there and realized it was not an instance with an Apache Beam environment but an instance with a Python3 environment. Pretty sneaky.

it does not recognize any notebook with Apache beam

When trying to make the instance in with the UI, I only get us-central-a, us-central-b, and us-central-c but no us-central1-f. I tried to make the instance with the gcloud shell and was denied access to us-central1-f. I restarted the lab and got us-west1-a instead of us-central1-f and it worked but the course still couldn't verify the instance for some reason. It may be because I made a user-managed instance to make the jupyter notebook instance. We'll try again here...
