The lab needs more exposition of what is going on. I also feel like there is A LOT of assumed knowledge of DNNs, which makes it difficult to understand what the TensorFlow syntax is doing if you don't have a good grasp of DNN methods and architecture. In general, the lab notebooks need A LOT more exposition and explanation of what and why.
