The alerting task wouldn't verify my progress. I deleted the alert and recreated it a second time. There was even an incident triggered. I'll try the lab again later, but it would be nice if the messages were more informative about what was missing. I just tried the entire lab for a second time and still couldn't get the Alerting to approve.

First, the instructions did not have steps on debugging if dataflow job doesn't show up so had to redo it multiple times and second, the progress check doesn't track progress correctly
