Why were keys created and uploaded along with gcloud auth command as opposed to just granting the service account access in the other project and associating the service account with the vm instance? That would seem to be a more secure method than static keys.

Had some issues with authorization for the first project, the first role did not give enough access to copy files into the bucket.
