installation command "sudo pip3 install --upgrade google-cloud-bigquery" does not return back to the prompt, stuck in an infinite loop with the output "Running setup.py bdist_wheel for grpcio ... \" Can't complete the lab because of it as running the python script doesn't find the google libraries"

The final step "Put the example code on a GCE instance" had some errors for me, but more importantly the end result didn't make a lot of sense. I understand that I'm copy/pasting code to use a service account to access BigQuery, but it would help to understand where I'm pulling this baby data from.
