The images / instructions need to be updated. Also the period should be set to 1 minutes to avoid wasting time waiting for the alert to fire and resolve.

GKE monitoring is not supported in the way described here. See not: s of December 12, 2019, Legacy Logging and Monitoring for GKE is deprecated, and support ends on March 31, 2021.
