I did this lab along with the coursera course on GKE and none covers what an ingress is, hence, second part of the lab is very unclear.

I don't understand why we created a cluster, deployed nginx and then undeployed it. I also don't understand any part of the configuration file that was a cut and paste operation. this lab amounts to cut and paste with little explanation of WHY these steps are done.

On my own, I tried expanding the cluster to other zones, which almost work incredibly well!! :) Added a second zone, it worked. When adding a third zone, the linked load balancer didn't get that update. So the cluster was configured with 3 zones but the load balancer was using only the first two.
