The lab did not work as described. a) there was no Named Port specified in the Instance Group. b) Even after adding the named port it did not work. I redid the lap, copy and pasting everything so that I made sure I did not miss something. The solution deployed but there was no HTTP access even after creating the firewall rule. The backend service never showed any healthy instances despite there being 2 running which I was able to directly test with HTTP. (I had to modify the firewall rule to all ALL source IP's to do that).
