The local developer experience in the lab differs quite heavily from that in the supporting setup video. In the video it mentions using the gcloud tool to run locally, but the lab uses docker. which is a leaky ecapsulation as you need to know the internal specifics of the language runtime, which is the whole purpose of the app engine standard environment
