The bq update command failed with an error indicating that the connection could not be found. I was able to fix the issue by locating the connection ID in Cloud Console, and specifying it in the form "projects/$PROJECT_ID/...". Oddly, the connection ID indicated by the lab instructions is what was set in the External Data Configuration.
